Show firs. Lafloe Pickup Elected UIIS P-TA President Mrs. LaRue Pickup of Randle'tt, I vas elected president of the Union Un-ion High School. Parent-Teacher Association at the final 1955-56 meeting last Thursday evening. Named as vice-president was Mrs. Floyd Labrum; second vice-president, Principal Loman F. Hutch-ings Hutch-ings (who automatically holds this office); and secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Cecil Jenkins. Community singing was led by Owen F. Burgener, music instructor, instruc-tor, accompanied by Mrs. Parley Rawlings, who presided at the meeting. A vocal solo was sung by Devon Andrus, accompanied by ; Mrs. Andrus. Guest speaker for the evening was Mrs. Jesse Allen, who spoke on Mental Health and showed a I film on the same subject. A special tribute was given by' Mrs. Rawlings to the following four Union faculty1 members, who have accepted positions elsewhere for next year: James Lewis, Devon De-von Andrus, Paul Barton and Dar-r Dar-r rell Atkinson.
