Show ROSE CEREMONY FOR THIRD WARD MIA MAIDS HELD MONDAY '- Mia Maids of the Roosevelt Third ward' held their Rose Eve- l ning Monday at the home of the president, Mrs. Parley awlings, ": under the direction of their leader, L' Elaine Bird. Welcome was given by Mrs. Bird, followed by the opening prayer by Grace Bowman, manual counselor. Symbolism of the' rose L was given by Judy Lambert; piano pia-no solo, Earlene Allred; "The Romantic Story," Helene Hancock; H song, "My Creed," by Lorraine Allred, Deanna Bowman and Janice Jan-ice Burgener, accompanied by Mrs Rawlings. The Rose Ceremony followed, -f each girl placing her rose in the bouquet and explaining why she had chosen that particular rose. f The girls then tied' their bouquet, signifying that at least sixty-five 'jr. per cent of their class had filled necessary requirements. 'l ' Five girls, who had earned :e , their Mia Joy pins, were' awarded W them by Deeatha Olsen, stake Mia Maid leader. Receiving this honor , were Lorraine Allred, Wilda Bas- com Janice Burgener, Earlene All-red All-red and Deanna Bowman. ; "" Remarks were made by Mrs. . awlings, YWMIA president, and closing prayer was by Wilda Bas- r -. com. .
