Show flew DEA Officers Chosen Apr. 25; Group lias Social Announcement of the results of the recent election for new D.E.A. officers was made known at the business social of the Duchesne Education Association, the pro-professional pro-professional organization of the Duchesne County school teachers. The meeting was held Wednesday evening, April 25, at the Roosevelt Roose-velt Elementary School, with Milton Mil-ton Nielsen, present president, conducting. It was the final meet ing of this school year. New officers elected to serve for the coming year, are: Ida Phillips, Roosevelt Elementary, president; Doyle Swallow, Altamont Alta-mont Elementary principal, first vice-president; Milton Nielsen, Myton My-ton School principal,-' second vice-president. vice-president. The new secretary will be appointed later by these executives. execu-tives. Outgoing officers are: Mr. Nielsen, Niel-sen, who has served two consecutive consec-utive years as president; Beryl Root, Roosevelt Elementary, vice-president: vice-president: and Mrs. Phillips, sec retary. During the business portion of the meeting, Mr. Nielsen gave a report of activities and achievement achieve-ment of the organization during the past two years Ray Warner, Provo, presently teaching at the BYU Training School, who is to become the Primary supervisor of the district next year, was welcomed and introduced in-troduced to the teachers as guest of honor. Several, amusing skits were presented pre-sented by Neola School, Roosevelt Elementary and Myton School. A musical selection .saxophone solo, was played by Mr. Burchinal, Duchesne Du-chesne High music instructor. Clair Hollingsworth, a visiting teacher from Uintah District, entertained en-tertained with a comical and satirical sat-irical impersonation of Mr. Warner. War-ner. Refreshments were served from a lovely and decorative table setting set-ting with a beautiful floral centerpiece. center-piece. Pouring were Mrs. Root and Mrs. Phillips. |
