Show IVIilTEQOCKS Madeena Smith Church Notes Mrs. Ednal Simmons was sustained sus-tained as second counselor in the Primary and Mrs. Loy Johnson as chorister at Sacrament meeting Sunday. Ten of our fifteen Primary officers of-ficers and teachers attended preparation pre-paration meeting in Roosevelt Saturday. Sat-urday. A good attendance for our ward. The president hopes to have all fifteen there next month. The program at meeting Sunday was given by the Indian Mission. Speakers were Kathe'rine Taylor, Reed McKee and DeVon McKee. Two trios were' sung by the Misses Miss-es Lula M. Huber, Helen Bigelow, Dora D. Walker, accompanied on the piano by Dona Hartle. All are from Lapoint. Mr and Mrs. Wilby Collett visited vis-ited their son in Cedar City Sunday Sun-day and was in Salt Lake Monday Mon-day on business. Jud Long has been on the sick list this week. The Colletts took him to Vernal to the doctor Sun day. The Art Allen family went to Salt Lake Saturday on business and to take Mr. Allen's father. Oscar Os-car Allen, home after he' had visited vis-ited here for two weeks. The second and eighth grade rooms with Mrs. Phyllis Ober-hansly Ober-hansly and Mr. Hardy, teachers, went on a hike Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Moosman were business visitors in Roosevelt Roose-velt Thursday. MAKE- CANCER DRIVE Madeena Smith, cancer chairman chair-man for this area, went on a drive for cancer funds Friday. People responded very nicely. Stanley Hoops and daughter, Paula, went to Ioka Tuesday, where Mr. Hoops sheared sheep. Mrs Gene Nyberg and children visited Mrs. Loa Hoops and family fam-ily Tuesday. The EIRoy Walker family of Lapoint visited the Stanley Hoops family Sunday. The Ervin Wilson family went to Salt Lake early Monday morning morn-ing for a visit and on business. |
