"We've bought many FHA ".it which are now useless." ! .vccording to Steven Hall, High 3try Rily who was also at the ' -'eeting, they have lost eight com-235 com-235 loans, which are special , 0 made by FHA to help the building . iustry. He council told those present at the i.ing that the earliest date for aing federal loans to the valley would be by the middle of May, when the Central Utah Conservancy District (CUCD) meets to consider fundings. The city must obtain funding for a treatment plant to treat city water in order to have the Utah State Board of Health lift the "unapproved" rating on the water system. According to Mayor Samuel Snyder, the city has two possibilities of obtaining ob-taining primary funding for the treatment plant: the Central Utah Conservance District and bonding. Because of the improbability of selling bonds, Mayor Snyder indicated that the most likely source of funds is the CUCD who has promised to fund the treatment plant. "Because the CUCD already levies a tax on the area, they are very willing to work with us," said Shane Luck, city manager. Councilman Jack Seitz moved that the city meet with the CUCD and indicate in-dicate their desire to work with them for a treatment plant. To date no meeting with the CUCD has been scheduled because their representative is out of the state, but a special city council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 30 at 7 p.m. discussed proposals for the treatment plant. The council spent the rest of the evening determining a location for the treatment plant with Russ Vernon, engineer for the project. |
