Show Basin resident named to USU Advisory Council A Uintah Basin resident has joined the Dean's Advisory Council at Utah State University. Paula O. Bell, of Roosevelt, is a Cache Valley native and is presently the executive vice president of the Roosevelt Area Chamber of Commerce. She was the first woman president of the Utah State Chamber of Commerce in 1977 and has received many awards for community service. A mother of four and experienced legal secretary, Mrs. Bell is a member of the Utah Festival of Arts Advisory Council, Utah State Travel Council, and chairperson of the board of the Utah Heart Association and the Roosevelt City Industiral Development Committee. Com-mittee. The Dean's Advisory Council consists of 25 to 30 outstanding leaders in business and-or public affairs. The function of the Council is to advise the dean and facultv of the College of Business on matters critical to its pertormance. They are to participate actively in college affairs when feasible ' ' and in their professional associations to : foster the interests of the College. The Council meets annually to discuss critical issues and identify projects for follow-up attention. The appointments , to the Council are for three years with a possibility of an extension. |
