Show f AY lid WILLIAM KENNETH McLEAN Services honor Ken McLean Funeral services for William Kenneth Ken-neth McLean, 68, who died April 27, 1980, were in the Ashley-Maeser chapel Wednesday, April 30. Mr. McLean was born Dec. 3, 1911 in Filly, Neb. to Fred Milo and Helen Austin McLean. He married Reba Eaton May 30, 1938 in Craig, Colorado. He worked for the Colorado State Highway for ten years, was owner and manager of the Maeser Store for three years, owner and manager of Kens Farm Store for 22 years and Basin Auto for eight years. He was past president of the Kiwanis Club and secretary-treasurer secretary-treasurer at the time of his death. Bishop Chad Orton conducted the funeral services, and the family prayer was by Carl" Johnson, brother-in-law. The invocation was given by Bishop Arden Stewart. Bishop Orton gave some remarks and John Smith spoke. "In The Garden" was sung by the Walker family and Nils Hofmann, president of the Kiwanis Club, spoke. The Walker family sang "Red River Valley," and Lloyd Eaton gave the benediction. Dan Simper, a nephew, . dedicated the grave in the Vernal Memorial Park. Pallbearers were June Merkley, Ralph Allen, Jim Allen, Chuck Woodward, Richard Dana and Ken (Speed) Taylor. Survivors are his widow of Vernal; daughter, Mrs Rex (Danette) Petersen of Jensen, Ut.; two grandchildren; brothers, Douglas McLean of Vernal and Gilbert McLean of Vernal; sisters, Mrs. Edith Reed of Maybell, Colo., Mrs. Carl (Veon) Johnson of Terreton, Idaho, Mrs. Dale (Norma Jean) Killian of Norwalk, Calif., Mrs. Ralph (Gloria) Hamlin of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Ron (Cheryl) Santhin of Phoenix, Ariz. |
