Show Vehicle traffic increases in Basin Vehicle traffic in the Uintah Basin during March was on the increase while the overall state traffic decreased. According to the March Utah Department Depart-ment of Transportation "Traffic Bulletin" composite traffic volumes at 66 permanently operated traffic recording stations showed an overall traffic decrease of 4.6 percent when compared with the corresponding month last year. Highways leading into the Basin indicated a 23.8 percent increase at 1-80 at Parleys Canyon and 1.1 percent increase on U.S. 40 at Daniels Canyon. Highway U.S. 40 east of Jensen was up 9 2 percent for March and 11.4 percent for the year to date. U-44 north of Vernal increased 0.1 percent for March and 4.6 percent for the year to date. Highway U.S. 40 west of Roosevelt was up in traffic count b? 2 percent for March and 6.4 percent for the year to riate U-87 north of Duchesne was up 3.3 percent for March and 4.4 percent for the year to date, according to the UDOT monthly report. |
