Show Naples Jo Openshaw Phone 789-3157 Larry Rainey and family return home Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rainey returned home after two weeks absence. Mr. Rainey was in Ft. Huachuca, Ariz., with the national guard. While he was away, Mrs. Rainey and daughters spent one week in Salt Lake City with her family and one week in Phoenix, Ariz., with Mr. Rainey's parents. Mr. Rainey joined his family there and they came home together. Niles and Frances Southam visited a week in Lincoln, Nebraska, with the Fred Hunting family. Mrs. Hunting is their daughter, Carol Rae. The Southams returned home Saturday. Frank and JoAnn Novinger and children went to Grand Junction, Colo., over the weekend to visit their grandmother, grand-mother, Frances Novinger. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gee went to Provo Sunday to visit Charles and Leri Dawn Smith. They returned Sunday evening. Shirley and Afton Price accompanied by Terance and Carolyn Batty and daughter went to Provo Sunday to the missionary testimonial of their nephew, Brent Pope in Provo. While there they visited their sister, Oris Pope after which they went to Centerville and attended at-tended the mission report of another nephew, Gary Price, son of Duane Price. The community was saddened to learn of the death of patriarch Ashel Manwaring early Sunday morning. He was taken via air to Salt Lake City early ear-ly Saturday morning for surgery and died a few hours later. Wesley and Eunice Bowden went to Layton, Sunday morning for medical attention for Mr. Bowden. Phillip Manwaring has been in Columbus, Col-umbus, Ohio, for several days attending atten-ding a school for telephone employees. Mrs. Dale Bowden and son, Travis accompanied the Max ISessingers (o Hebcr, Friday. She visiled her mother there, returning Sunday evening. Lorin und Norine Merrell and Wayne and Yvonne Pope and children went to Jackson, Wyo. to visit the Ben Johnson family for a few days last week, and then on to Rexburg, Idaho to attend the blessing of Brent and Susan Merrell's new son. Lorin and Norine are the baby's grandparents. Amy Pope returned from a week's visit with Gary and Vivian Foley and family. The Foleys have a new baby boy weighing 9 lbs. 8 o?.. He will be named nam-ed Gregory Lynn. Mrs. Foley is Mrs. Pope's daughter. Heid and Jacki Gurr and family spent the weekend in Craig, Colo. Marie Campbell of Davenport, Iowa, Dee and Mary Manwaring of Provo and Elaine Roberts of Pleasant Valley, visited Thelma Manwaring last Monday. Mon-day. Ronda Olsen was in the Uintah County Coun-ty Hospital several days last week. The Carl Oldakers went to Rexburg, Idaho last week to get their daughter, Annette who has attended Kicks College Col-lege this past school year. While there they attended the wedding reception of their nephew, Douglas Clark and new wife. Keva Kuppe returned with the Oldakers. |
