" BILLIE JO PALSER Billie Jo Palser is Wyoming contestant Miss Billie Jo Palser age 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Palser of Casper, Wyoming, has been selected to compete in the 1980 Miss Wyoming Teen USA pageant to be held at the Ramada Inn, Casper, Wyoming, June 14, 1980. This pagent is the official statewide state-wide finals for the Miss Teen USA pageant to be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in November of 1980. Contestants from all over the state will be competing for the title. All contestants are between the ages of 14 and 18 and must have at least a "B" average in school. They are requested to participate in the volunteer service program of the Miss Teen USA pageant. Through this program many young ladies are becoming involved in community activities by contributing at least 12 hours of time to some worthwhile wor-thwhile charity or civic work. Among the prizes the winner of the Miss Wyoming Teen USA pageant will receive is an all-expense paid trip to compete in the national finals at the Convention Center, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a $500 cash scholarship to the school of her choice. Over $15,000 in cash scholarships will be awarded at the national pageant in November. Contestants will be judged on civic involvement, school activities, appearance ap-pearance poise, personality and patriotic speech or talent. No swimsuit competition is required. Contestants have the choice of presenting a patriotic speech or performing a talent on stage. Miss Palser is sponsored by Oil Well Perforators, Mills, Wyoming. Her hobbies include snow skiing, bowling riding horses, singing, piano, Softball, and being outdoors.
