Mary visited with her daughter Connie and Ray Waughtel at Fruita, and Anna with Jim and Evelyn Oldham at Clifton. Carnil and Sharlessa Raines and daughter Mariera from Lapoint are visitng with Edna Raines. There will be no meeting of the Uintah Historical Society in May. The next meeting will be Tuesday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Golden Age Center. At this time, Ray Searle will give the program on the Diamond Mountain area. Feltch and Mrs. Feltch returned home Friday, April 26 from a two week Justice of the Peace schooling held in Reno, Nevada. Everett and Norma Alexander from North Salt Lake recently visited friends and relatives in the Maeser and Vernal area. Maeser citizens who took part in the production of "The King and I" were Douglas Barlow Nathan Hatch, son of Dennis E. and Jan Hatch; Phillip Oviatt, son of Clark and Ora Oviatt; Quinn and Kyle Bennion, twin sons of Bart and Lois Bennion; Melinda Barlow, costume mistress and seamstress; Tayna Bullock, costume designer; DeAnna Harding, costume designer; Curtis May and Leland Carroll, orchestra; Laura Hacking, rehearsal accompanist; Darrell Jones, set construction and Linda McKee, usher. Poelman and his mother Ella Poelman spent Saturday and Sunday visiting with Brent and Carol Feltch. Mr. Poelman is a member of the First Quorum of Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, came to Vernal as the visiting general authority to preside over the Vernal Slake Conference. His mother accompanied him to see their family. Janice Harrison from Bellingham, Washington and Darlene Burns from Taylorsville surprised their mother, Edna Raines when they came to the tea sponsored by the Maeser Elementary school faculty and the Maeser PTA. Other family members attending were Robert and Julie Raines of Jensen and Keith and Adreanna McDonald of Maeser. Don and Betty Bou den and Walt 'and Wilma Bowden returned Sunday April 27 from a ten day vacation to Puerto Vallarta. While there tliey got to do some deep sea fishing, visited an old ting ready with a in situ steam injection oil sand experiment.
