Show C Naples Jo Openshow Phone 789-3157 Dorothy Swyers returns home TOO LATE FOR LAST WEEK Dorothy Swyers of Portland, Oregon, returned to her home after a two week visit with the Craig Ivie family. Mrs. Swyers is Mrs. Ivie's mother. Ferris and Grace Gardiner spent last weekend in Provo and Salt Lake City visiting their son and daughter Kerry and Katherine. Janie Hansen has gone back to her home in Beltville, Maryland. Mr. and Mrs. Burt Thacker have a baby boy born April 14 at the Uintah County Hospital. The baby weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz. and will be named Chitt. Kim Morrison and three girl friends I from the BYU at Provo, visited Sunday with the Carl Gardiners. Kim is a granddaughter of the Gardiners and is leaving for her home in Roseville, California. Correction for April 17 news item: It was George Galloway who visited his sister, Mrs. Carl Gardiner. Clarence and Elsie Palmer went to Provo Thursday to attend the graduation of their granddaughter, Christine Nuttal Holdaway at BYU. While in Provo, they visited with their son-in-law and daughter Robert and Claire Nuttal of Chula Vista, Cal. They ; returned to Vernal Friday evening. Brent, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Karl Pope of Provo, has received an LDS mission call to Chile. His testimonial will be April 27. Carol Southam, Berneice Wilkens, Ila Hatch and May Willis went to Price Saturday to visit relatives. Willis Southam returned to Hanksville Saturday where he is employed. em-ployed. Jeffrey Merrell who has spent the past two years on an LDS mission in the Tennessee Nashville mission returned .. home last week. May N. Anderson returned home Saturday after spending several weeks in Fairview. Harry and Lorraine 5 Cunningham brought her home, j Glenn and Ada Openshaw returned j home Wednesday evening after ten I days in San Jose, Cal., with Dr. and Mr. i Richard Evans and family and a visit I with the Dale Openshaws in Sandy. 1 Janna Haslem went to Sandy to bring ; them home. Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Price went to Provo, Friday for the graduation of their son-in-law, Terance Batty from i. BYU. After the graduation, they helped ! move the Battys to Vernal where they will make their home. Also attending the graduation and helping with the moving were the Garth Battys and family and attending the graduation were Mr. and Mrs. Kent Walgren and ':- daughter and the Bill Casaday family 2 all of Salt Lake City. While in Provo, 'i the Prices had a short visit with Oris ! Pope who is in the hospital there. Kerry Gardiner and Judi Tinker of Salt Lake City spent this weekend with Kerry's parents, the Ferris Gardiners. I Harry Jones had open heart surgery t last week. He is in the St. Mark's 8 Hospital in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Jones I has been in Salt Lake City to be with her I husband. Ron and Ronda Jones went to Salt Lake Saturday to visit their father.
