Show ROSS GENERAL IS F0RVICT0RY Urges Troops to Fight in Order to Retain Newly Gained Liberty. ODESSA, May 25. via London, 6; 16 p. m. Addressing a congress of 200 delegates representing the military forces on the Rumanian front, General Stchoroatchoff, commander of the Rumanian Ru-manian forces, Baid: "While the principle of peace without with-out annexations or indemnities Is highly moral, it should not alter tho course of tho war. It is a principle to bo realized at a peace conference, not by the armies in the trenches. Whoever sincerely desires peace should aim at victory, especially after the revolution, when victory Is indispensable indis-pensable in order that we shall not lose our newly gained liberty. The country is in danger. Let us help It to know that never were we so strong as now and nevor was the enemy so weak. "I am telling you the truth and I call upon you to undertake a vigorous offensive; but for that, a high warlike spirit and strict military discipline must be restored." |
