Week-end evening even-ing up of trades lifted the wheat market mar-ket today after an early decline, Setbacks Set-backs at the start today were ascribed to bearish estimates of the total yiojd in the United States this season, one authority putting the total as high as 750,000,000 bushels. Opening quotations, quota-tions, which ranged from Vi cent to 2 cents lower, with July at $2,17 and September o.t $1.S8, were followed by an upturn nil around to well above yesterday's finish. ' Bearish crop prospects made the oorn market average lower. Demand, however, was active, and there was a big general trade, After opening unchanged un-changed to 2 cents higher, the market underwent a decided sag. Oats dealers took their cue largely from corn. Selling, though, was less excited. Scarcity of hog receipts next week was predicted. |
