Show Bryce Visitors increase in 78 Visitation to Bryce Canyon National Park in September totaled 100,354, a 10 percent increase over last year. During the first nine months of 1978, visitation is up 12 percent with a total of 614,500 visitors entering the park. The park Visitor Center is now open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. North Campground Cam-pground and all park roads and viewpoints will remain open until the first heavy snowfall. The Bryce Canyon Lodge closed October 1, but visitor accommodations are still available outside the park. The park is closed to hunting. Possession of firearms in the park is prohibited. The park boundary is well marked, but anyone planning to hunt in areas adjacent to the park should stop at the park visitor center if they have any questions on park regultions. |
