Show Mayor proclaims Businesswomen Week By Candace L. Ewing Mayor Jack Sawyers has issued a proclamation naming the week of October 15-21, 1978 NATIONAL BUSINESS WOMEN'S' WEEK in Cedar City, Utah. President Berneice Liebhardt of the Cedar City Club calls attention to the fact that every year one week is set aside by the. National Federation to honor the accomplishments of women in business and community affairs. Recently Geraldine Eidson was installed as President of the National Federation at the convention in Puerto Rico. In her ac ceptance speech, she emphasized em-phasized that the "ERA Amendment is for everyone." It still needs three more states to ratify it. Other projects of BPW are health related such as women and stress, multiple sclerosis, the alcholic woman; the needs of women in the military, and college programs for women moving into management and finance, are also stressed. Any working woman is eligible to join BPW. The Cedar City Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the Town & Country Restaurant at seven o'clock. |
