Show Dence receives SUSC appointment Thomas P. Dence has been appointed an . assistant professor of mathematics at Southern Utah State College. The appointment was recently approved by the SUSC institutional council and by SUSC President Orville D. Carnahan. Dr. Dence is teaching finite mathematics, analytical geometry, and advanced calculus at SUSC. ::.'l7S';; J : : t "r ,- . , . ' , t f t-A He is replacing James W. Cot ts who is taking a leave of absence from his teaching duties at Southern Utah State. Before coming to SUSC, Dence served as an assistant professor of mathematics at Bowling Green State University, Firelands Campus, in Huron, Ohio. The SUSC mathematics professor received his BSE from Bowling Green State University, MA from the University of Colorado and PhD from Colorado State University following his graduation from CSU.
