Show Summit W HIT By Donna Davenport A number of people from here have !ccn in Salt Lake City during the past week. Bishop and Mrs. J. Frank Dalley and president and Mrs. Carlisle Mulct were there to attend I.DS general conference. Mrs. llulet remained there to visit a daughter Mrs. Hex Orton and family and also her parents Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Mathews in Boutiful and-plans and-plans to be away ten days. Mr. and Mrs. Dannie Condie and Russell traveled to Layton for an overnight stay with the Pat I (overs, taking Dannie's mother Mrs. I. oraine Condie to help care lor the Dover's new baby daugher. Little Caycie remained here with the Darryl Davenports. Mr. and Mrs. Craig White and baby daughter enjoyed the weekend in Salt Lake City. Dr. and Mrs. Dee El Stapley and family were in Salt Lake City last weekend for the wedding of their daughter DcAnn. They were accompanoid by Mr. and Mrs. Karl Stapley. Mr. James Prince and daughter Denise and Mr. Oscar J. Unlet and grandson, grand-son, Oscar llulet of Cedar City wre in the Salina area during the week of KIk hunting. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow visited overnight in Satl Lake City with sons Dick and Dennis and families. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whicker Greg Heather and Amada spent Thursday in St. George. The Darryl Davenports enjoyed a visit Thur. from Mrs. Davenports' folks, Mr. and Mrs. Vergean Porter and Clint of Kscalante. performed a very entertaining en-tertaining dance number. Chad Unlet played a piano solo and also s;mg a song that he had written for his father, Carlisle llulet and accompanied himself. Mrs. Debbie Roper sang two songs and Mrs. M;ary Dalley, Mrs. Tressa Hollingcr and Mrs. Darlene Rowley presented a fine skit on Relief Society. This was followed by a delicious luncheon with the tallies decorated in a fall theme. Mrs. David Dalley was in charge of the social. It was preceeded by meetings for the Relief Society teachers. Conducted by Mrs. Marc Alllon and a meeting for all visiting teachers conducted by Pres. Mary Lawrence. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport and all their family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whicker and six children, Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Davenport and three children and Mr. and Mrs. Dannie Condie and two children were all in Paragonah last Sunday noon to attend Sacrament meeting and listen to the Jay Davenports' nephew Elder David Lamoreaux report his mission which he did in a most excellent way. He had just returned the day before from the Louisiana, Baton Rouge LDS Mission. Mr. ypd Mrs. Oscar J. llulet and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Walker spent last week working at the St. George I.DS Temple and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Dalley spent this week there. Mrs. Edith Williams of Fillmore, Calif, and Mrs. Elsie Dernier of Bishop, Calif, arrived here on Saturday evening of last week after being in Salt Lake City for Mrs. Williams Misisonary Reunion. They spent several days here as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Walker. Then the foursome enjoyed a trip to Capitol Reef and Arches National Monuments. They traveled to Moab and Blanding and enjoyed the natural bridges and beautiful scenery on to Gicn Canyon Dam. Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Demler also visited briefly with their uncle Willord Lawrence. Mrs. Donna Davenport, Mrs. Sheral Condie and Mrs. Vergenia Davenport were in Paragonah on Wed. evening of last week where th;y enjoyed a baby shower honoring Mrs. Alan Robinson. Ricke Edwards and three children are spending the school vacation here with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith and Mrs. Helen Richards. They reside in Greenville. The Relief Society fall social was held here Tues. with most of the ladies attending at-tending and enjoying a delightful program. Six year old Cory, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Dalley |
