Show 1 International Club Food Fair reception for foreign students from throughout the state. The Utah Symphony Sym-phony Orchestra has prepared a special musical program for the students and their advisors in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. For the first year, the SUSC International Students Club has invited a community com-munity member to coordinate coor-dinate activities among off-campus off-campus groups and in dividuals who are interested in meeting students from other countries and in having them provide programs for schools and organizations in Cedar City and surrounding areas. Mrs. Karrie Emo will work with Del Guerrero and Mrs. Dover in developing community com-munity relations. "Our club will be very visible this year." Del Guerrero said. "We have an excellent opportunity to promote international understanding un-derstanding on our campus and in the community, and we plan to create in-tercultural in-tercultural awareness whenver and however possible." A Foreign Food Fair with displays and entertainment will Ix? sponsored by the International Students Club at SUSC on Oct. 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the small ballroom in the Student Center it was announced by club president, Sandy Del Guerrero, Saipan.The activity ac-tivity is open to the public free of charge. Club members and others interested in intercultrural exchange will provide samples of favorite fowls from around the world along with recipes for the special dishes. Anyone may participate par-ticipate in the food preparation by contacting Bessie Dover, foreign student advisor, at the Student Center. A full week of activities is planned for Oct. 23 through 28 in connection with International In-ternational Students Week, for which the theme this year is "Know Your Brother." In addition to the food fair, the organization will prepare displays throughout the campus and will conduct class activities to make students and faculty aware of the International flavor of the campus, Del Guerrero said. Club members will travel to Salt Lake City on Oct. 28 to participate in the annual United Nations concert and |
