Show Harriet Jones, active LDS Church Worker dies; Honored at Services haruet Chamberlain Jones 09, died Oct. 4, 1978 at her home in New Castle of Cancer. Born June 20, 1909 in Kanab, Utah to Israel Hoyt and Ella Wooley Chamberlain. Cham-berlain. Married Uriah Jones Jan. 26, 1!hH in the Salt Lake Temple. Harriet was a housewife and a bookkeeper. She attended the University of Utah and graduated from the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving as Stake MIA President, Relief Society President and served a mission to England. She is survived by her husband of New Castle, a daughter Mrs. Willis (Sophia) Hall of Pago, Arizona. Aslo surviving are Funeral services were held Sat., Oct. 7, at 1:00 p.m. in the New Castle LDS Ward Chapel. The family prayer was offered by Mont Chamberlain with Jean Jones playing the prelude postlude music, Mason Jones giving the invocation and Bishop Norman Laub conducting. The speakers were Nora Frost, Shirley Hart and Elwood Corry with remarks by Bishop Norman Laub. Musical numbers consisted of the New Castle Ward Ladies Chorus singing "One Sweetly Solemn Thought", and "Abide With Me" with Jean Jones conducting and Karla Anzalone Aec. The benediction was offered of-fered by Heber Holt and Ralph Chamberlain dedicated the grave. Interment In-terment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuary.
