Show 1 1 Aubrey Lawrence, Summit dies positions in the LDS church throughout his life and was Branch President in Gunnison, Gun-nison, Colo, for a number of years. He died at his home Tuesday Oct. 3. Funeral services were held in Gunnison, Colo, October 6, and burial in the Summit Cemetery following the dedication of the grave Oct. 7. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Lawrence traveled to Gunnison, Colo, to attend the funeral The town was shocked and saddened when news reached here of the sudden passing of Aubrey W. Lawrence 62. He was born here to Wilford H. and Ella Hulet Lawrence and spent his life here until going to. Logan in the late 1930's to continue his education. There he. met and married Sibyl Wnkinson. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, then he and his family moved to Oklahoma where he com pleted his education and received his doctor's degree. The Lawrences have made their home in Gunnison, Colo, where he has Ix-en a professor at the college for many years. Survived by his wife, four daughters and one son, a number of grandchildren. Also his lather and brothers, Boyd, San Diego, Calif., Alma, Summit, sisters Eula James Hunter and Ilene Rees Kaysville. Aubrey has held many |
