Show Funeral Services Conducted For Cora Alice Heaton Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Sunday at 12:15 p. m. at the Cedar Stake House for Cora Alice Kent Heaton, 34, who died at the Iron County hospital Thursday morning, Nov. 24, of a basal skull' fracture. Mrs. Heaton received the fatal , skull fracture when she fell down her basement steps at the Heaton Hea-ton home Wednesday, Nov. 23. She was not discovered until hor daughter and husband returned home Wednesday evening at about 4:30. She was rushed to the Iron County hospitaj for treatment. She died early Thursday Thurs-day morning. Conducting the services was Bishop Edwin C. Cox of the Seventh Sev-enth Ward. Prelude and post.lude music was furnished by Bernella Jones. Invocation was given by Blaine Stapley. Speakers included Bishop Ver-nee Ver-nee Frame, a past bishop of the deceased; Fred E. Heaton, a brother-in-law, and remarks' by Bishop Cox. Special musical numbers were as follows: A vocal solo, "Goin" Home," by Ruth C. Uric, accompanied by Patricia Pa-tricia Palmer. A vocal trio, "God Is Ever Beside Be-side Me," Including Mrs. Urie, Beth Corry and Mrs. PaJmer. Mrs. Jones accompanied the group. A vocal solo, "In The Garden," by Merle Cunningham, accompanied accompa-nied by Mrs. Jones. A violin solo by Roy L. Halver-sen, Halver-sen, accompanied by RaNae Milne. Benediction was by Ray Hollis and dedication of the grave at the Cedar City cemetery was by Pres. Elwood J. Corry. Mrs. Heaton was bom in Logan Lo-gan Feb. 25, 1921, a daughter of Roy S. and Millie Cunninghom Kent. She married Norman Heaton Hea-ton on Oct. 28, 1939 at Farming-ton. Farming-ton. The marriage was later solemnized sol-emnized in the Logan L D S Temple. Mr. Heaton is superintendent of Iron Mountain mining operations of the Columbia Steel Company. She is survived by her husband and a daughter, Linda; her mother moth-er of Whlttler, Calif.; two brothers broth-ers and two sisters, Sidney Kent,, San Diego, Calif.; Dr. Howard Kent, and Mrs. Ray Hollis, both of Whlttler, Calif., and Mrs. Ray Rasmussen, Crescent, Calif. i. i |
