Show Hew Irrigation Co. Formed, Plans Improvements The North Field Irrigation Co. organized here many years ago, has been divided creating two separate iitik"ii the move having been undertaken undertak-en as a means of facilitating irrigation ir-rigation operations in the expanded ex-panded farming area. Articles of incorporation of a newly formed East Extension Irrigation Ir-rigation Co. have been filed with Lorenzo F. Luke listed as president, presi-dent, and B. Glenn Kenney as secretary. Charles R. Hunter is president of the North Field Irrigation Irri-gation Company, with Herbert P. Halght continuing as secretary. The farm area covered by the two irrigation companies includes in-cludes aproxlmatcly 30 users in each. The new company has completed com-pleted about two and one-half miles of concrete ditch lining and constructed a storage pond for better control of irrigation water. Additional ditch lining will be undertaken next summer it is understood. Assisting the firm with engineering engi-neering has been the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Commute Com-mute and the Soil Conservation Service, and the ASC has also helped share the cost. |
