Show AS I SEE IT . Let's face the bare facts, our country is getting bigger than its peopJe; in fact some of the people want to fuse our two-party system of politics into one. Some of our great commentators are now recommending Eisenhower Eisen-hower and Stevenson for our next election. Perhaps it would be a good deal since our Republican party died several years ago. Now that I am speaking of politics I am going to sum up what our last legislators did for the farmers and livestock men here in this state. They didn't get any reduction on off the highway high-way gasoline, but they did pass a law to force every truck to have mud flaps that cost from $10 to $23 to put on; They also passed a law to have Winker lights on truck fenders at a cost of $35 to $50 to install. The blinker lights don't last on farm equipment more than a week and in fact most states outlaw them because you are supposed to put your hand out when making a turn anyway. As for the mud flaps, they ball up with mud and fall off because most of the travel with the farm truck is off the highway. As I see it, we should send legislators leg-islators to work for us that would fight for the repeaj of a lot of nuisance laws and bar them from spending our money and their time arguing over laws that should never have been introduced in-troduced and then passing some at the last minute with other laws that don't remedy the situation. sit-uation.
