Presentation Preparations are under way for the annual Junior Chamber of Commerce D S A banquet, at which the young man of the community com-munity who has served his community com-munity best in the past year, will be presented the annual Distinguished Disting-uished Service Award. Ronald Morgan, president of the Jaycees this year, announces that a special DSA selection committee has been at work for some time studying the activities activi-ties of all youjig men of Cedar City in the service of their community. com-munity. This committee, he says, will welcome suggestions from anyone as to the qualifications of any young man for this coveted covet-ed award. Anyone who has any suggestions as to men who should be considered is urged to contact Mr. Morgan and state reasons for such consideration. The Jaycee president will then pass all such information on to the selection committee. Any young man who has not passed his 35th birthday, or who although he may be only a few months older, has served his com-munty com-munty before he reached the Jaycee Jay-cee age limit, is eligible for the award. Mr. Morgan emphasized the fact that it is not necessary for the recipient to be a member mem-ber of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. "This is an award for community service," he said, "and not particularly service through the Jayce organization." The annual DSA banquet will be held at Hotel El Es'calante on Saturday, Jan. 21, Mr. Morgan says, and will be open to the public. Identity of the DSA recipient will, as usual, be kept secret. |
