Show Utah Stale 4-H Winners Hamed FOUR Utah 4-H Club members have won tat honors in the 35 ' Beautification o( Home-Ground:?, and Dairy Kuods Demonstration proRrams. The winners were awarded 19-jewel wrist watches for their a?' ievements. Tho Siatg winners in the 4-H Dairy Foods Demonstration iro-pram iro-pram ure Jerry Adams, 15, of Montice'.io, who gave the winning win-ning individual demonstration, and the team of Carma Wreks, 17, and Etta Pace, 18, both of Vernal, who won in the team demonstration division. Each of the girls received a 19-jewel wrist watch from the Carnation Company. Jerry, under tho leadership of Mrs. Leon Adams, presented "Cheese Souu'le" as her winning demonstration. Jerry a'tends the Monticello High School and has been a member of her 4-H Club six years. Her major projects are cooking, baking and canning. She has won many awards on food preparation and baking demonstrations. "How to Make a Cheese Omelet," Om-elet," was the title of the winning team demonstration given by Carma and Etta. Carina has been In 4-H work for eight years. Her major projects are cooking, canning, can-ning, freezing, and sewing. Etta has been in 4-II work for seven years. Her major projects are cooking, canning and frozen foods. Their local leader is Mrs. Fred Weeks, Goldle Wayment, 18, of Ogden, la the 1955 State winner In the 4-H Beautlf Icatlon of Home Grounds program. W.ym.nt During her seven years in club work, Goldie improved the family's fam-ily's home surroundings by building build-ing a new fence, laying a new sidewalk, making a cement well bowl and a new clothesline. She was awarded gold pins in 1952-53-54 for her garden and home grounds improvement projects. She has been active in home improvement, clothing, garden and beet projects. She is a junior leader in home grounds Improvement, garden, beef and sewing. Her club is led by Mae Wayment. ted under the direction of the |
