A junior division contest will be run separately again this year; however, boys under 16 years of age will compete com-pete in the junior division. Weighing-ln station for the Big Fish Contest will be Neal and Olie's Market. Deadline for weigh-ins will be Monday noon for the previous week's catch, following the established rules of the contest. Jackson also pointed out that In order to be eligible to compete com-pete all entries must hold a current cur-rent membership card In the local loc-al Federation. Senior membership member-ship Is $1.00 and junior membership mem-bership fees are fifty cents. Other stipulations Include that all fish weighed in must be cleaned and gilled. If Monday falls on a holiday, then Tuesday Tues-day noon will automatically become be-come the deadline for the previous pre-vious week's contest. Boundaries for the contest have been established as follows: East Highway 89 with the exception of Pine Lake Just east of the highway; South, Zion-Mt, Car- mel Highway; West, Utah-Nevada state line and on the North, Bone Hollow road. Cedar City merchant's have again contributed prizes to be given away each week in the contest. Announcement of winners win-ners each week will be published along with the meichant who donates prizes. The Federation this year has voted to discontinue the mid-season prize that has been offered in the past. Reason for this, Jackson Jack-son said, is so that the Federation Federa-tion can sponsor a Big Deer contest con-test this fall. Rules for that contest con-test will be published at a later date. Anglemen who head for the streams this weekend will have an opportunity to get in on the first weekly prize of the annual contest. Because Monday is a recognized re-cognized holiday, Memorial Day, deadline for the opening weekend week-end contest will be Tuesday noon, May 31. |
