Show Red Hill Wranglers' Week End Meet Promises Good Races With a large number of outside out-side horses here or coming In today to-day or tomorrow, the success of the week end race meet being staged by the Red Hill Wranglers as far as entries are concerned, is assured, according to Clair Hulet, secretary of the local horsemen's group. All he asks for now is the cooperation of the weatherman. weather-man. Approximately 35 head of horses, many of which took part in the Kanab meet last week, will be here to go with a dozon or so locally owned horses., and this assures some very good races for the two-day meet, Saturday and Monday. Hulet reports that some of the horses are very good, being be-ing winners at Kanab and during last year's racing season. Among those coming here are such well known racers as Palmer's Pal. one of six stabled here by George Marshall of Mlnersville: Mackel-prang's Mackel-prang's Piute and Dunkirk: Ballard Bal-lard of Rockville's Myster: Bow-ler's Bow-ler's No Pav; Johnny Hunt's Au Revolr and Scott Batt's War Styles, to name a few. Gate time for Saturday after-noon's after-noon's program will be 2 o'clock so as to not lnterefere with the Parowan High School alumni dinner at the Five Mile. The Memorial Day racing program will get under way at 2:30 p. m. |
