Show Commencement fltCSU Set for Friday I Climax of commencement week at College of Southern Utah will b? reached Friday evening with the Installation of Director Roy-den Roy-den C. Braithwaite, and commencement com-mencement exercises for the 109 students who complete their training in the upper and lower divisions of the college. Twenty-four of the graduates will receive their bachelor of science sci-ence degrees in elementary education, edu-cation, and will bo represented at the exercises by Ward S. Robb. valedictorian. Lower division graduates, who receive associates associ-ates in science degrees, will Include In-clude 85 students represented by Miss Kristine Corry, valedictor-ion. valedictor-ion. Both Mr. Robb and Miss Corry Cor-ry are from Cedar City. Commencement week activities opened Sunday afternoon when the honors and awards convocation convo-cation was held at the library lounge. This was followed by the L D S Institute of Religion graduation, grad-uation, which also served as the college baccalaureate services. These services were held Sunday evening with Dr. Ernest L. Wilkinson, Wil-kinson, president, Brigham Young University, delivering the address ad-dress to the graduates. The reunion of the 50-year Club at the college was held on Wednesday evening and the annual an-nual alumni will be held this evening, Thursday, at El Escalante Escal-ante Hotel. Director and Mrs. Royden C. Braithwaite will honor faculty, trustees and graduates and their parents and friends at a recep-tion recep-tion at the director's cottage on the campus Friday, from 5 to 6 p. m. The reception will be held on the lawn at the director's home, unless Inclement weather should make It inadvisable. In case poor weather prevails the reception will be moved to the library lounge. The commencement exercises will begin at 8 p. m. Friday in the new auditorium at the college. col-lege.
