Mfs. Nellie Hart who has been convalescing at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Nelson, of Cedar City, returned home on Saturday, May 14. Mrs. Floyd Taylor returned home last week with her new baby daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Behring are the proud grandparents. Richard Jones and Alonzo Chris-tensen Chris-tensen left Tuesday, May 17, for Salt Lake City on business concerning con-cerning Newcastle reservoir. Many of our townspeople attended at-tended Stake Conference in En-teprise En-teprise Sunday, May 15. Hugh B. Brown, assistant to tthe Twelve Apostles, represented the general authorities. Alonzo Christensen was sustained as one of the new High councllmen of the Uvada Stake. Kathleen Knell and Jean Forsyth For-syth participated in the Johnson Dance Review held In Cedar City on Saturday, May 14. The pre school clinic held on Thursday, May 12, was an all-day all-day job. Examining the many small children were Dr. Kelser of Salt Lake City and County Nurse Alice Barton.- Mrs. Harriet Jones and daughter, daugh-ter, Sophia, are visiting n Kanab with Mrs. Jones' parents, during the week of May 15. I Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hart, Jr., visited in Orderville recently with Mrs. Amy Esplin and family. The Shell Oil Company is drilling dril-ling in Pinto to determine whether wheth-er or not there is oil in the area. |
