Show Elkdom Ladies Announce Confab Program The Ladies of Elks Annual State Convention Committees announce their program schedule fort he convention beginning In Cedar City today and continuing through the week end. A tea will be held Friday after, noon at Hotel El Escalante with the new Ladies of Elks Officers, headed by Mrs. J. V. Adams, in charge. An outstanding program will be presented including a double trio from the Cedar City Ladies of Elks, a vocal solo by Kathy Loer, piano and clarinet duet by Maureen Adams and Bobby Delaney, a dance by Harriet Har-riet Humphfus, a musical number from the St. George Ladies of Elks, a dance by Martha Fakler, a reading by Juanita Hazel and a humorous hat fashion show to climax the afternoon. The business meeting Saturday morning from 9 to 11 o'clock at the hotel with be under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Kenneth Clark, and after the scouts have presented pre-sented the colors there will be a memorial service for the departed depart-ed Ladies of Elks under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Donna Dupln. A chorus of Provo Ladles of Elks will sing, and Lois McConnel and Lucinda Lber will furnish vocal solos. There will also be election of state officers. Saturday at 1:00 p. m. will be the Installation Luncheon under the direction of Gwen Beal, also at the hotel. Newly elected state officers will be Installed, followed follow-ed by a vocal solo bv Christine Wlnterrose, and a reading bv Lll-lis Lll-lis Spencer. Door prizes will be awarded at this meeting. |
