Show ENOCH AND MIDVALLEY NEWS Miss Barbara Grimshaw celebrated cele-brated her 20th birthday on May 19. She and five of her college friends from Cedar City and her1 grandparents from Parowan were dinner guests at the Hunter Grimshaw home. Twenty couples from Enoch participated in the MIA dance review at St. George Saturday night. Many people from Enoch and Midvalley were In attendance. attend-ance. Frank Jones of Chandler, Ariz., visited with. his sister, Mrs. Millard Mil-lard Halterman, and family this week. Mrs. Alice McCall of Berkeley, Calif., visited with her brother Roland Anderson in Enoch and Haiken Anderson of Cedar City. Also visiting at the Roland Anderson An-derson home this week for a few days was Russell Baldwin of Las Vegas. Enoch and Midvalley graduates gradu-ates from the Cedar Junior High School were Audrey Armstrong, Garth Jones, Marie Anderson and Gail Maxwell. Graduates from the Cedar City High School were Janice Jones, DeAnne Grimshaw, Florine Richardson, Dilworth Armstrong, Clark Maxwell and .Vernile Matheson. From College of Southern Utah was Barbara Grimshaw, and Aurella Jones from Brlgham Young University at Provo. The Enoch Bee Hive girls spent Thursday afternoon at the fivs-mile fivs-mile recreaton camp in Parowan canyon participating In a Stake Bee Hive outing. Miss Grace Marie Smith wiil leave this week for Bountiful to join her parents, Bishop and Mrs. Stanley Smith, who are now making their home In that city. Mr. and Mrs. E. Wilcox of Clearfield visited here with their daughter, Mrs. Dec Wllcken, this week. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Matheson made a business trip to Milford Tuesday. Valdean Williams of St. George has come to spend the summer with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Urie Williams. Mutual and Sunday School were reorganized Sunday. Hunter Hun-ter Grimshaw was named Superintendent Super-intendent of the Sunday School with Earl Murie and Dick Nelson Nel-son as Counsellors, and De Anne Grimshaw as secretary. The outgoing out-going officers were Ivor Jones, Superintendent. Glendon Heaton and Hunter Grimshaw, assistants. assist-ants. In the Young Men's Mutual Ted Nelson was named superintendent superin-tendent with Stewart Murie and David Anderson, counselors, and Bud Garfield, Secretary. Outging officers were Louis Maxwell, president; pre-sident; Glen Garfield and David Anderson, counselors. President of the Young Ladies Mutual is Delia Garfield, with Mrs. Dick Nelson and Mrs. George Halterman, Halter-man, counselors. Retiring officers offic-ers were Lela Gibson, President; Verda Matheson and Helen Jones, counselors. The Grimshaw boys are running run-ning a cement irrigation canal ,from their well to the farm, a distance of a mile and a quarter. |
