Show Vfl Releases Figures On Korean Conflict Participation More than 6.8 million men and women served in the armed forces during the Korean conflict, according to a recent Veterans Administration report. The Korean conflict, which began be-gan June 27, 1950, and ended Jan. 3l, 1955, was second only to World War II In the number of participants. Approximately 6,807,000 men and women served on active duty du-ty with the armed forces (Including (Includ-ing the Coast Guard) during the Korean conflict, compared with 16,535,000 in World War II, and 4,744, in World War I.
