Wednesday, May 25, in the Col- ! lege of Southern Utah auditor- ium. A class of 99 seniors grad- uated. Dr. J. D. Williams of the - University of Utah gave the ad- dress to the graduates. The opening open-ing and closing prayers were giv- I en by Margene Isom and Mor- I ris Slack, respectively. Student talks were given by Kenneth Per- kins, class president; Sara Jen- ; son and Jerry Frame. The high school students re's re-'s ceived the 1955 yearbooks last t Monday at 8 p. m. The theme of j the yearbook is "Redman Wonderland." Won-derland." Sara Jenson and her co-workers on the yearbook staff j should be congratulated on their i fine work. The local Key Club held Its i annual banquet on Tuesday, May i 19. All members of the club and I their partners met at Milt's Stage Stop for the banquet and dance. ; The officers for the coming year were installed by the president of the Kiwanis Club. They are Clav-j Clav-j ton Petty, president; Jerry Lee, 3 vice president, and jerry Farns-j Farns-j worth, secretary. ; ... j The first senior breakfast for j boys was held last Sunday in the j North Elementary School at 7:30 a. m.. Almost all of the senior boys attended. The breakfast was given by the boys' mothers. ... The yearly Senior Tea was given giv-en at the home of Dr. Reed W. Farnsworth. Punch, cookies and candy were served and everyone who attended enjoyed themselves. them-selves. The tea was sponsored by the P-TA organization of which Mrs. Farnsworth is president. presi-dent. ... The Seminary students have selected their officers for the coming year. Bevan Corry was elected president, Kay Ashcroft was chosen to be vice president, and Charlotte Perkins got the position of secretary. The outgoing out-going officers are Bob Jones, Kathlen Decker and Yvonne Bauer. |
