Show DOUBLE-HEADER AT LUCAS FIELD TODAY Stiefels to Play Nippons; Harmans and Cements Also on Schedule. A double-header is scheduled to be played this afternoon at 2 o'clock at Lucas field between tho Harmon A. C. and the Portland Cement nines in one game and the Japanese Nippons and Stie-fols Stie-fols In the other. The Stiefel nine and the Japanese boys will meet in the first contest. The latter lat-ter club is now headed by Makaml, captain cap-tain of the famous Waseda ""'vers.ty nine and ex-captaln of the 1914 Knox college club. Makaml, who is a cous n of the great Japanese tennis player who ,1b now making such a hit In the east has brought three fast players with him. These are Shlmadl, Shigarl and Tatai, members of the Japanese nine in Los Angeles. The Nippons have been defeated but once since those men have Joined the club and that was by the fast Tooele nine and only by the margin of one run. Thev think It will be an easy matter mat-ter to take the Stiefel club Into camp, as they have been practicing hard and are showing a lot of class on the paths. On the other hand, the Stiefel boys have suffered but a few defeats this year and will play the fastest game possible in order to keep in the lead of the associa- The second game of the hlg double-header double-header will bring the Harman A. U and the Portland Cement clubs together for the third time this year, each club having won one game. The Portland Cement Ce-ment nine has signed four new players, who will no doubt strengthen their club greatly, and, with Blaser pitching his usual game, they should be able to give the Harman club a hard rub.
