Show BOARD MAY RAISE FARM VALUATIONS Commentln? upon tho request of the stale board of equalization, made through its secretary. Harden Bennlon, that the jounty commission defer action in fixing the tax levy, County Assessor A. H. Parsons Par-sons stated yesterday that, while he was without definite information as to any Increase likely to be made In the assessed as-sessed valuation, he thought this might be the intention. In such event, Mr. Parsons Par-sons said, any Increase in Salt Ike county coun-ty could only be made on farm property, and this, he stated, would "do a gross injustice." The state board of equalization asked : that the fixing of Hie tax levy be deferred de-ferred until further information was glv- 1 en out by the board as to whether there I would be any further changes In assessed valuations. This Is taken to mean that the board wishes to ascertain If the valu- ! atlon of Salt Lake county realty shall be increased, as has been done In other counties. Mr. Parsons said that If any Increase fs made It will fall upon the farm property. prop-erty. This he considers would be unfair, since he has made what he thinks is a fair assessment and that all property has been assessed at ita full cash value. |
