Show BUILDING ACTIVITY GREATTHiS SEASON Architectural Designs at Federal Heights Are Attracting At-tracting Attention. It is doubtful if the building activities activi-ties injny resident section of Salt Lake this season has attracted so much attention atten-tion as the unusual number of very fine homes now erected, or which are near-ing near-ing completion, in Federal Heights. A trip through the heights at this time reveals the building activities that represent a quarter of a million dollars investment in new homes, constructed during the past and present building season.' It is the distinctive character of the home in Federal Heights, however, that causes fully as much comment as the number of new houses under way. The contour of Federal Heights permits per-mits of architectural effects that are out of the ordinary in many ways, and those Salt Lakers who have purchased homesites in Federal Heights have seized the opportunity and made the most of it. The result is a section of residences that not onlv make Federal Heights itself it-self extremely beautiful and attractive, but these new .. homes add to the attractiveness at-tractiveness of the homes around them to an unusual extent. The action of a number of home owners in Federal Heights in securing additional vacant lots, which they caii add to their grounds, is now being taken up by a great many other residents resi-dents of Federal Heights and every indication in-dication points to a number of homes hose owners are planning to purchase the grounds surrounding their houses and to beautify these grounds. David Wegg of the Telluride Eealty company, owners of Federal Heights, stated Saturday that negotiations had been closed by several Salt Lakers for the purchase of homesites in Federal Heights, particularly along Federal way, the beautiful street leading from the head of South Temple street through Federal Heights up to Fort Douglas. Federal way used to be tho famous government gov-ernment macadam road from the city to Federal Heights, and officials of " the Telluride Realty company declare that building sites on either side of this thoroughfare o.Ter some of the most extensive ex-tensive views to bo obtained anywhere on the east bench. All indications point to the fact that at the close of the present summer the Tell uride Eealty company will have disposed dis-posed of all the building sites now remaining re-maining in its possession to private owners. |
