Show OIL PHILOSOPHER i Oil SERVICE "The situation that confronts the average automobile owner is a most puzzling one, ' 1 said the Oil Philosopher. Philoso-pher. "Every time he reads an oil advertisement adver-tisement he finds that 'A is the most marvelous oil' or 'that B is the most perfect, for auto lubrication until by the time he gets through he really doesn't know which is the best or what to do. ' "Not infrequently he talks to friends and takes their advice, only to find that the oil that works fine for his friend is not so good for him. Then comes more worry and fussing until he gets some more advice, makes a circle of worry aud try and more worry and try until he gets the right dope. "There are many good oils some of higher prize than others, and it happens hap-pens very frequently that the higher priced oil is purchased in the belief that it is the best. This is sometimes right and sometimes wrong; it depends on the margin of profit made by the dealer or distributor. "It is very necessary in the selection selec-tion of oil that the user get the proper weight of oil, for even with the, right oil good service cannot be obtained unless the proper weight is used. The man from whom you buv your car will give you the right weight. "Among the higher grade oils that are most recommended by garages aod dealers is Vico, made by tho Utah Oil Refining company. To illustrate a little lit-tle further, while Vico light would work fine in one type of car, it probably would fall down in another typo, which would need Vico heavy. "The point I bring out is to select a good oil of the proper weight and you can be sure of real service." |
