Show UNWATER SHAFT AT " NORTH STAR MINE Special to The Tribune. HAIDET. Idaho, July 25. The company working the North Star mine has been successful this week in striking writer where it was expected. They had drilled a hole about an Inch and a half in diameter in the Plummer tunnel of the North Star, tapping the water in the old workings of the mine, and a stream poured through Into the tunnel under heavy pressure. Since the drill broke through the level of the water In the shaft has been falling at the rate of a foot and a half an hour According to calculations made it will take three or four days to drain the workings. The water runs from the tunnel tun-nel down to the mill in a good-sized stream. Boston Copper Range.
