Show BOSTON LOSES BOTH; TIGERS HAMMER BALL DETROIT, July 29. Boston suffered something of a Betback In the pennant chase today, when Detroit took both games of a double-header, 10 to 8 and 7 to 3. The first game was a free-hitting contest, In which Ruth, Wyckoff and Coveleskle all were knocked out. Leonard suffered the same fate in the second game. Both teams fielded well.
