Show UTAH PEOPLE II OPENING PRODUCER High Grade Ore Discovered in Silver Field Group of Nevada, c One of the attractions in Nevada miu. ing during the past few months has been tho Silver Field Alines proporty located about eight miles west of Millers, Mil-lers, and it is a Salt Luke proposition throughout. H. M. Eakin, formerly of the May Day and other Utah propositions, proposi-tions, has charge of mine operations and he is in this city at tho present time on company matters. The work on tho Silver Field prop, erty consists of a shaft now at the 250-foot 250-foot point, and oro was followed practically prac-tically from grassroots, some of the values running in the hundreds of dollars dol-lars to tho ton. In the bottom of the shaft is a throe-foot ore body now which averages 390 ounces silver, 2fi per cent lead, S per cent copper and $4 in gold. The management expects to be shipping this product to the smelters within the next thirty days. There has been an immense amount of dead work to ue dono at this property, prop-erty, while the "bunk, boarding house and engine house and the oil-liurning hoisting oquipment had to be installed all of which is now in place and in successful suc-cessful operation. Five men are on the payroll, and the force is to be in creased as soon as the management can find room for moro men to work profitably. profit-ably. The TJtahns operating tho Silver Field group have had to pioneer, although years ago before, the discovery of Tono- ali there was considerable 'scratching one on the surface, and some considerable consid-erable ore production done. The Utah property is now surrounded with locations, loca-tions, and the character of results obtained ob-tained in the leading property will govern gov-ern the general activity there durin" tho coming few months. Tho local peo pie in charge certainly have made a fine start, and additional work doubt less will be commencod without delay. This proposition has been financed by the insiders, and Mr. Eakin says that the men employed are taking stock in part payment for their labor on the basis of 25 cents a share.
