OCR Text	Show ATTACKS GIRL AND IS NEARLY LYNCHED Special to The Tribune. RENO, Nov., Aug. 30. -Following an alleged attack on Martha Silve, a girl of 19, at the point of a rifle, George W. Riley, 23 years old, Bon of an old and respected family of Humboldt county, narrowly escaped lynching yesterday. yes-terday. Tho outrage occurred in Paradise Para-dise valloy on the ranch of Frank R. Burgo. Alono on tho ranch, tho girl was attacked by tho youth, who is Baid to havo been drinking. She la in a critical condition today. Riley was taken ta-ken to Winnomucca, forty milos distant, dis-tant, becauso of tho threats of lynching.
