Show SLTS CONSOLIDATED OK KES WELL Supt. Jacobson Gives Assay Results of Sample of Five-foot Five-foot Face. On his arrival from tho property on Friday, Superintendent A. C. Jacobson of tho Alta Consolidated company, brought an average sample of the full face of ore opened during tho week while exploring somo old workings along tho big contact. Tho assays ou. this sample show an average or 43.4 ounces silver, 1.6 per cent copper, 0.5 per cent lead and $2.80 gold. This represents rep-resents the value of five feet in width, and rr. Jacobson says that no assays have showed less than 40 ounces silver to the ton, while tho oro has carried aB hirh as 120 ouneos. It is a big vein of iron carrying carbonate car-bonate oros, says Air. Jacobson, and the drift has opened it to dato l'or about fiftoen feet. It is too early as yet to draw too many satisfactory conclusions con-clusions about this discovery, but inasmuch inas-much as tho contact within which this oro occurs has in formor years produced pro-duced somo bonanza ore shoots close to tho surface, there is reason to ox-pect ox-pect that similar shoots will bo developed devel-oped in tho future, and this particular spot may be one such discovery. The oro body is wholly picking ground and no blasting has oeeu found necessary. The management has completed com-pleted an oro chuto from the opening to the road, and from this find a considerable con-siderable amount of first-class oro will be coming from now on. |
