Tho shabby treatmont accorded by President Wilson to Governor-General Forbos of tho Philippines is generallj-commented generallj-commented upon in condemnatory vein by tho press of this country. Even those that believe that President Wilson Wil-son would naturally want a Governor-General Governor-General in the Philippines devoted to his policy and to tho policy of the Democratic platform, and concede the inevitable certainty of a change, think that the treatment accorded Governor-General Governor-General Forbes was indefensible. Ropubllcan a rather slighting reference to tho umbrage which Mr. Forbos took at his displacement, displace-ment, without any warning and without with-out having an opportunity to resign.
