Bishop on a charge of embezzlement, was permitted to iplend guilty yesterday to a chargo of petty larceny" and sentenced to servo ninety-two ninety-two days iu tho county jail. Talbot was allogod to have fraudulently se-curod se-curod the indorsement of a draft on a bank of San Francisco, To have convicted con-victed him on tho first charge would have required the presence of a witness wit-ness in California, and tho compromise was made.
