Ii. Jones's court and was held to the district court. Mr. Emmerton was immediately taken before Judcje A. B. Morgan and tho court accepted the defendant's personal per-sonal bond for $500 as a guaranty that he would pay 45 monthly for support of his children. Emmerton exhibited receipts showing that he had contributed as high as $100 per month to the Bupport of his children, chil-dren, and the prosecutor declared that, had he known the facts narrated by the evidence, ho would not have entertained entertain-ed a complaint. Thomas and Sarah Arrowsmith, charged with unlawful salo of liquor at Colton, entered pleas of not guilty in Justice E. It. Jones's court today. Their trinl was set for "Wednesday, and they were permitted to go on their own recognizance re-cognizance till that time. |
