CLEARFIELD - Shaped fashion is the "In" look for this spring, according to Robyn Morley, Bountiful 4-H Clothing Style Revue member. Sleek, slim, and sophisticated are the words of the season, and fashion pros see the pared-down silhouette as the fresh, newsy way to dress. ROBYN INVITES young women, their mothers and leaders to the Style Revue Workshop "Reflections" to leam more about the season's look and how to show it off. "Reflections" will cover line, design, and texture as well as modeling, personal coloring, and accessorizing. This workshop will be held at Clearfield High School Saturday, Sa-turday, April 21st, beginning at 9:30 a.m. A $1 registration fee due April 13, includes lunch. FEMALES ACROSS the country are tired of layering and oversized clothes. They're body-conscious and are welcoming the slimmer, shorter shapes. Robyn and the fashion magazine 'W" clue us in on other in-season fashion phrases: THE SUIT - the big favorite when it comes to shaped fashion. It's got all the right details broad shoulders, a defined waist and a narrower, shorter skirt, grazing the knee. The suit is the most important look of the day. The Bustier the new suit accessory, also right with pants and skirts. Soft suit blouses are back. NEW PANTS - from walking shorts to skinny pants that stop short above the ankle and status jeans. Glamor Nights real dress-up clothes with the same sophisticated feeling that works for day: slip dressing: strapless and one-shoulder one-shoulder tops; pretty fabrics such as silk and crepe de chine. THE SPORTY Active Way T-shirt dressing, short boxy jackets and, for the real sports, lots of terry shorts and matching blouson jackets. Body Dressing spandex show-off bodysuits, pants and matching wrap skirts. KNITS fine cotton ones are popular, as are bulkier ones for sweaters. - Accessories the belt is the biggest: bright colors from poppy red and chrome yellow to hot sea blue slinky sandals or woven leather ones with lower heels; woven leather is also popular for clutch bags, which share the spotlight with shoulderbags; perky lacquered hats and berets; also black suede shoes, open toed pumps and spectator pumps. FABRICS natural fibers: wool, cotton linen and silk are used for the new airy feeling. The fabrics are crepe de chine, satin, lace, handkerchief linen, polished cotton, and wool houndstooth and gabardine. Colors brights are contrasted con-trasted with black. Bright red, purple cocoa, teel are mentioned along with white, navy and taupe.
