FISHER "You Do Make a Difference" is the title of a pamphlet being distributed by nearly 1500 Cancer Crusaders in the Davis South Unit of the American Cancer Society during the first two weeks of April. THE EDUCATIONAL pamphlet states that you can help protect yourself against cancer by what you do or don't do. It goes on to explain some of the things to avoid and some of the things to do to help protect against the dread diseases that come under the heading of cancer. This year, the monetary collection goal set for the local unit during the Crusade has been set at 120,000, according ac-cording to Mrs. Karen Stewart, Crusade chairman. 'THIS YEAR, however, the usual cancer business drive has been completed side-by side with the United Way campaign. But the residential campaign (or Crusade) is still strictly and solely sponsored by the American Cancer Society," she explained. Mrs. Stewart said that she is hoping to have the Unit's crusade completed by April 15. "So when your neighbor volunteer Cancer Crusader calls at your home this month, please be generous with your contribution to the Cancer Society. And, more importantly, read the valuable valua-ble information he or she leaves with you. It may save your life!" Mrs. Stewart declared. |
