Show f 'coil TIra Top Enlisted HILL AFB The three top enlisted personnel at Hill AFB for 1978 were named this week. SELECTED AS the outstanding out-standing senior non-commissioned officer for the year was MSgt. Jerry L. Jones, 388th Tactical Fighter Wing. SSgt. George L. Morgan III, 4754th Radar Evaluation Squadron, was selected as the outstanding NCO of the year. Ale Judith M. Maness, Staff Judge Advocate's Office, was named as the outstanding airman. SERGEANT Jones is the NCO in charge of the 388th's Avionics Branch. He was cited cit-ed for his managerial skill in reorganizing the Avionics Maintenance Squadron into more efficient units as well as devising training plans to cross-train avionics specialists into related career specialties. Sergeant Morgan won his honor for his work as lead maintenance technician in correcting a long-standing radar performance problem at a remote site that had long eluded other technicians. He also played a key role in developing a joint Federal Aviation Administration Air Force evaluation plan for a sophisticated air route surveillance sur-veillance radar. AIRMAN MANESS is an administrative assistant and claims adjudicator. The young woman was assigned to ; the position from another career field and quickly became skilled in her new position. Among her accomplishments accomplish-ments was the quick and efficient ef-ficient handling of adjudicator adjudica-tor duties in the hospital recovery program under the Federal Medical Care Recovery Act and was required to investigate, assert and settle all claims. Airman Maness was instrumental in collecting more than $20,000 Jor use by the base hospital. |
