Show VW . about who you will be select- By MATT OWEN Democracy is ringing out again in the halls of Woods Cross High. The studentbody elections for next year are in full campaign. It's been an exciting week with all of the banners and buttons to put you in the mood of elections. FRIDAY WILL be the day when the field of candidates will be narrowed down as the delegates will select the finalist for next week's final election. Next Wednesday, the new leaders for next year will be chosen. Candidates good luck. If elections are not enough for you, you can turn to the sports field. Baseball, track, m soccer gymnastics, and tennis ten-nis are now into their respective respec-tive region schedules. Gymnastics Gym-nastics will have its turn in the spotlight today when they travel to South to compete. TOMORROW the boys and girls track team will host the Ogden Tigers in their second region meet. Friday both the soccer and baseball teams will host games. Soccer will take on the Layton Lancers at 5 p.m. A little earlier the baseball team will play host to the Logan Grizzlies at 3 p.m. with a little help from the weather man. ONE OF the most forgotten groups in the school is the drill team. All year they have marched for the games at school without much recognition. recogni-tion. This Friday and Saturday Satur-day the group will be in Idaho Falls for a major competition. Good luck drill team. Wildcats think carefully about who you will be selecting select-ing for your next year's leaders. These people will be carrying the pride and traditions tradi-tions of Woods Cross on their shoulders. Choose the people who will do the best job and may the best man win. |
